GRILLED CHEESUS

Well, a few things I noticed in the the 'Glee' episode was one part it said that Jesus was a Santa Claus for grown ups. Which is obviously not how you should view Jesus from a Christian point of view. Umm.. the thing that kinda stuck out the most to me was when Kurt said something like Why would I believe in God, he makes me gay and then he says it was my choice and calls it wrong in the Bible and I have been made fun of every day of my life for it like why would I chose that.  I thought that was kinda sad, I mean I take gay people as a joke and have no problem with making fun of them but I'm sure they hurt or whatever. I am not saying I feel sorry for him cause I do beileve it is a choice. However, I shouldn't look at them as a lower person just cause they struggle with something that I don't. I don't know that kinda stuck out to me and that line coming from a secular show kinda shocked me. I thought the over all episode was actually good and there were a lot of positives in it I think. The accurate parts I guess you could say were just all of the friends in the club were really encouraging and stuff. And that black girl was really nice I can't remember all the things she said when she referred to the Bible but she said things that were accurate. The whole grilled Cheesus thing was weird but at the end he realized that it wasn't the grilled cheese that was doing everything or God. So if some weird person watching that show was like I need to go make a grilled cheese and pray to it then if they continue to watch the episode it was proven wrong obviously.. I think the director of the show has it mostly on but there are a few parts that were a little iffy. I don't know how I would look at this is if I was a non Christain. Hmm..

DIVORCE

In the sermon on the mount it has a brief section on divorce.  To summarize it, it is saying that if you are to divorce your wife, get a certificate.  But if he is to divorce his wife except adultry makes her commit adultery.  And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. So yeah it's pretty clear cut.

You apply this by NOT DIVORCING PEOPLE. Solve your problems before they get bigger.

HALLOWEEN.... GOOD OR BAD?

We read an article on Halloween and if it is good or bad for Christians.  The article also mentioned how the holiday got started.  After reading it all, I concluded that it is not wrong to dress your cute little kid up and go trick or treat.  It's not like you're worshipping Pagan gods or playing with the demons.  I know that some teenagers and stuff try to do some ridiculous things on halloween like Ouija Boards and stuff but I don't think halloween is bad by any means.  I have two words to conclude this..... EAT CANDY.

10-25-10 SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Today, our sophomore class went to the bowling allie to help with the special olympics. I think this is a once a year thing that brings special needs people to have fun and stuff.  I really really enjoyed it.  Going into it I was so freaked out, like it was way out of my comfort zone.  I know it's rude but I always kinda tighten up when someone with special needs is around.  Today really changed my perspective though.  At first it was hard but getting into it it was really fun.  Like these people are hilarious, I would totally do it again.  I don't think I'll get scared around them anymore because seriously they're not that different.  I mean it's hard to understand them sometimes and they don't understand you but they have personalities and they're all different and today was just kind of an eye-openener I guess you could call it.  There was this one guy who never said a word, he was probably the most precious little guy I have ever seen in my life... I wanted to take him home with me ;)  But anyways yeah and I started thinking, like I was thinking about me thinking...  Like some of those people can't even think the thoughts I'm thinking, like there brain isn't advanced and it just made me realize how blessed I am.  They didn't have the choice to not be "all there".  And by the way I'm not trying to make them sound like they're from a different planet or something.. it kinda sounds like I'm putting them lower but yeah sorry if it's coming across like that. Anyways, so yeah it just kinda made me be thankful that I have basic abilities because some people don't.  Oh and I'm never using the word retard or retarded again, that's RUDE and OFFENSIVE.

RAPTURE

Monday, we talked about the rapture of Christ.  Coach Bishop gave us some facts and truths about it.  There are three different viewpoints of when the rapture occured:  Pre-trib, Mid-trib, and Post-trib.  Bishop is Mid-trib and he gave us some reasons why.  I personally am Pre-trib because the church was never mentioned in the tribulation and I think that's significant.  Either way, the rapture in general makes me want to go out and get everyone to be a Christian.  What if Jesus came back tomorrow?  Would we want to see people suffer?  I think we have it in our minds that we have like 80 years to live and then we just blow off ministering to people and yeah I have to go now so bye! GO WITNESS!!!

Slow Dancing in a Burning Room - John Mayer

This song has some strong lyrics to it.  It's an appropriate song for the most part, I believe it can be listened to whenever if it's your style of music.  I don't think this kind of music is healthy for someone to hear over and over again.  John Mayer is a great artist, his music is appealing and is very deep.  Although, if you listen to almost depressing songs all the time, I don't think it's good for "mood" purposes. There are a lot of songs out today that have to do with unhealthy relationships, some even very detailed.  Not all relationships are torn like that, if you base your relationship on Biblical principals than it will work out.  I believe a lot of songs give listeners a very false view of love, a worldly view.  This song isn't bad by any means, I just think that if you are confused on love or relationships, you shouldn't be filling your mind with lyrics that have to do with sad, unhealthy, torn relationships.  God has designed love to be happy and fulfilling :) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE JOHN MAYER with ALL my HEART :) 

GENDERCIDE=BAD

Well, gendercide is bad, as my title clearly states.  Chosing gender is just plain wrong, obviously! Killing innocent little baby girls just because you want a boy? I don't understand how people can live with themselves when they do that. Abortion in general is murder, if only people would really think before they make decisions like that.  I don't know what to say about it Biblically, I mean murder is murder. Killing a baby is just as much of a sin as killing a grown person. Um yeah, I think that's it! Don't kill your kids.
