In the sermon on the mount it has a brief section on divorce. To summarize it, it is saying that if you are to divorce your wife, get a certificate. But if he is to divorce his wife except adultry makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery. So yeah it's pretty clear cut.
You apply this by NOT DIVORCING PEOPLE. Solve your problems before they get bigger.

i disagree on this. i think the only exception to this rule is if the husband is physiclally abusing the wife . then i think it is right to divorce him.
